TEMPLES — Names

QUESTION: Uniform naming guidelines are now used for all temples in the Church.  Under these guidelines, three of our temples have names that consist of only eight letters (not including the word ‘Temple’).  Can you name these three temples with the shortest official names?
ANSWER:  The three temples with the shortest official names are Lima Peru (dedicated January 10, 1986), Salt Lake (dedicated April 6,
1893), and Suva Fiji (announced May 7, 1998).  Also, the official name of the downtown temple in Salt Lake City is ‘Salt Lake’.

QUESTION:  Which of our temples has the longest name?
ANSWER:  The temple with the longest name is the Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo Temple (dedicated April 14, 2019 by Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles).  The temple with the second-longest name is the Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Temple.  NOTE:  Other temples have been announced for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and they will change the answers to this question.
