genautquorumaverages (average ages of FP and Q12 ** )

Average ages of the members of First Presidencies and Quorums of the Twelve

Calculated yearly, from 1833 to the present

This spreadsheet has been a labor of love for many years.  For each calendar year from 1833 to present, it gives the average age of the members of each First Presidency, the average age of the members of each Quorum of the Twelve, and the average age of the combined members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve.  The first column contains the year-end date and the initials of the President of the Church.  The members of the First Presidency are highlighted in red.  The second column gives the average age of the members of the Quorum of the Twelve cumulatively, in decimal years, and in years and months.  The third column does the same for the First Presidency, and the fourth column does the same for the 2 quorums combined.  The other columns contain the information on the individual apostles, listed in order of seniority.  Far to the right is a column that shows the appropriate year when each apostle joined the Quorum of the Twelve, along with their respective birthdays.  These boxes are framed in purple.  Following the detailed spreadsheet is another spreadsheet that summarizes the information in the first four columns.  I have also demarcated the youngest and oldest average ages in that second spreadsheet.  Enjoy.  (Note to myself:  as I make changes on this worksheet on Drive, the changes will be made on this sheet on the website.)
