Handling objections using the Book of Mormon (President Ezra Taft Benson):
- Listen to and recognize the objection.
- Give a brief answer from the scriptures, preferably the Book of Mormon.
- Explain that the correctness of the answer really depends on whether or not we have modern revelation through modern prophets.
- Explain that whether or not we have modern prophets and revelation depends on the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.
- Challenge the person with the objection to discover the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon for himself or herself.
