STIMULATOR message for the week of January 2, 1973

Starting with this edition of the Stimulator, President Sant no longer included a Mission President’s message

Notes from the field:

“We are grateful the Lord let us teach  Brother _____.  I know that his conversion and baptism were the Lord’s work.  He wanted him in His church.  Brother ___ will be a great strength to the branch.  Thank you for all your support and I hope you have a Happy New Year.”   Sister Martinson.

“The Lord has blessed us so much this week.  To be able to unite a family at Christmas time is the thrill of my mission.  I really love to be in the service of the Lord.  It really builds my testimony to show others the true and living gospel of Jesus Christ.”  Elder Nelson.

“I stand all amazed at the blessings the Lord has poured out upon us.  The baptism of Sister _____was marvelous.  The Lord’s spirt was there especially strong.  More will be coming soon.”  Elder Bird.

“God lives and He has answered my prayers.  The ____ family is a wonderful family and I can’t tell you how much joy has come to my heart through baptizing them.  There’s no greater reward than to baptize a family into the true gospel of Christ. I love my mission so much.  Also, I received a Christmas card from another family that I had the opportunity to baptize about a year ago and on the card they bore their testimony.  That was the greatest gift that I could have received for Christmas.  But it is the Lord’s doing and I give Him all the credit.  Again, I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ.”  Elder Johnston.
