Hinckley, an earlier apostle.  President Hinckley was a temple-building president, and he conceived the idea of ‘smaller’ temples for areas with smaller numbers of saints.  He oversaw the building of the new Nauvoo Temple, and also of the new Conference Center on Temple Square.  Amazingly, he was awarded 10 different honorary doctorate degrees.  He served as a counselor to Presidents Kimball, Benson, and Hunter.
