- Remarks: Elder Kearon is one of only a few latter-day apostles not born in the United States. Others include Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Elder John Taylor, and Elder Marion G. Romney. He was partly raised in Saudi Arabia, where his father worked. His father passed away when he was 19 years old, and at that time his formal education came to an end and he entered the workforce. His first job was working for a member of Parliament. He was serving in the Presidency of the Seventy at the time of his call to the apostleship. Elder Kearon has two middle names, but he does not use them routinely nor does he include initials when writing his name. His full name is Patrick Robert David Kearon.
