DEVELOPING CHRIST-LIKE ATTRIBUTES

1/ The Lord has called you to His work, and He invites you to follow Him.  The invitation to follow Him is also an invitation to follow His example and to become like Him.  (Preach My Gospel, page 121)

2/ Consider these questions:  a) How will developing Christ-like attributes help me fulfill my purpose as a missionary?  b) Which attribute do I most need to develop?

3/ Prepare To Learn activity – As a companionship:  a) Find a scriptural definition for your assigned Christ-like attribute listed below.  b) Find and be prepared to share an excellent scripture related to your assigned attribute.  c) Be prepared to share an experience from the life of the Savior wherein He displayed or exhibited the attribute that you are assigned.

4/ Developing Christ-like attributes ((Preach My Gospel page 129):

  • Identify the attribute you wish to develop
  • Write a definition and description of the attribute
  • Record questions to answer as you study about the attribute
  • List and study scriptures that teach about the attribute
  • Record your feelings and impressions
  • Set goals and make plans to apply the attribute in your life
  • Pray for the Lord to help you develop the attribute
  • Evaluate your progress periodically in developing the attribute
