Preach My Gospel, Chapter Three, Lesson 5
1/ The use of the principles found in this lesson “should be determined by the needs, interests, and situations of the people you are teaching, and by direction from the Spirit. Constantly think and pray about how to help others live the gospel. Be mindful of the questions and levels of understanding of those you teach. Help people recognize that by keeping God’s laws, they will retain a remission of their sins and stay on the pathway to exaltation. They will experience great peace and joy. They will find answers to life’s questions and security in the knowledge that they belong to the true Church of Jesus Christ. The laws and ordinances serve as directions for living joyfully…”.

3/ Today we will focus on 5 of the sections from this lesson (Priesthood [p. 87], Missionary work [p. 88], Temples [p. 90], Service [p. 91], and Endure to the End [p. 92]. As a companionship, choose one of the five topics, study the material, and write a simple lesson plan with three to five main points and at least one scripture. When your lesson plan is complete, QUIETLY teach a 3 to 5 minute lesson to another companionship on the material you have prepared. Take turns, and then evaluate each other on the strengths of your presentation. Be prepared to share your thoughts with the other missionaries in the branch.
