STIMULATOR message for the week of March 6, 1973

Starting with the January 1, 1973 edition of the Stimulator, President Sant no longer included a Mission President’s message

Notes from the field:

“It is a real joy to baptize.  At every baptism there seems to be a re-baptism of myself: I remember my own baptism, and the joy I had in becoming a member of the Church.  There seems to be another baptism that takes place and that is in the “blood, sweat, and tears” that it takes to get the investigator into the waters of baptism.  What starts off as a knock on the door or a handshake at church and progresses through discussions, challenges, conversion, and then culminates in the joy that all missionaries seek, baptism.  The joy of seeing someone entering the waters of baptism can’t be beat.  I love to baptize, and to remember my baptsim and to anticipate a real close friendship with those whom we baptize.”  Elder Hanara.
