STIMULATOR message for the week of April 3, 1973

Starting with the January 1, 1973 edition of the Stimulator, President Sant no longer included a Mission President’s message

Notes from the field:

“My first week in Taradale has brought me many experiences which I will not forget because I know that these will be the first of many to come.  Some pleasant and some unpleasant, but I still keep smiling and hope that the next knock will reap a rich harvest as we tract from door to door.  The area is giving me a great challenge of humbleness and courage.  My companion and teacher is having a fine example of mission work, which brought about a baptism of a young boy into the Church.  I feel excited about this young boy, because now he has a great challenge ahead of him, and I know that he will be blessed if he lives the gospel.  It surely was wonderful to see the hand of the Lord at work.  It was a very rewarding week for my ehoa and me.  God bless you all at the mission home.”  Elder Tipene.

“We have had an excellent week because of the baptism of Sister _____.  She is a very humble lady and will make an excellent member of the church here.  Her husband and the rest of the family should come in this month.  It is a great joy to teach and baptize people into our Heavenly Father’s kingdom.  I am thankful for the gospel and the joy it has brought me and other people.”  Elder Carpenter.

“I know of all certainty that this Church is so fantastically true.  I know beyond any doubt that the Lord does hear and answer my prayers.  The tremendous joy that comes from baptizing is inexpressible as we see that same joy come into the faces of those who accept the challenges and commandments of God.  This plainly and simply is the Lord’s work and His glory.  My companion and I do grow closer together and to God as we have prayers answered and goals accomplished.”  Elder Huckstep.
