What positive steps can we take, no matter our age, to become more spiritually mature?
- Recognize where you are spiritually:
- Enos whished to commune with the Lord with such intensity that he prayed all day and all night.
- Maturing is a process, not an event that happens all at once.
- Maturing spiritually requires more than a casual commitment.
- Get involved in practical tasks to help build the Lord’s kingdom.
- Do thoughtful things to make someone’s life a little brighter.
- In every day actions and endeavors, try to act as God would act.
- Choose friends and associate with those who spiritually uplift you.
- Build, inspire, lift, encourage, serve, support.
- Study the gospel daily, and study trusted sources.
- Every day, discover or incorporate an eternal principle.
- Make your prayers sincere.
- Prayers cannot be mumbled repetitions.
- Prayers must spring from an intense desire to communicate!
- Rely on the Lord, through prayer, to direct your life.
