Doctrine and Covenants 29:1, 26 — Divine investiture of authority

  • Everything Christ says or does is exactly what the Father would say or do under the same circumstances.  The Father pouts His name on the Son and authorizes Him to speak in the first person, as though He was the Father.  Christ authorizes certain angels or messengers to do the same.
